About Nile Savannah Co.
Nile Savannah Co. is a heritage homewares brand founded by Monica Kuku — born in Sudan, raised in Egypt, now based in Springfield, Massachusetts. Each piece is hand-carved from natural soapstone in Tabaka, Kenya, by Kisii artisans.
The opening collection, The First Carving, includes eight pieces — vases, trays, sculpture, and a hand-poured candle — named for places along the Nile and the deserts that frame it: Aswan, Luxor, Nubia, Sahara, Giza, Port Sudan, Thebes, Khartoum.

- Single-material discipline at launch (no diversification, no shortcuts)
- Naming pieces after places, not numbers — geography as design language
